In unusual and dramatic fashion Ford want you to forget lots of things.

They want you to set aside what you've thought about them up to now.

With one of the biggest promotions of its kind, they are embarking on a campaign which urges people to 'Unlearn' what they think they know about the company and its vehicles.

It's a significant push by all accounts and they appear to be going to great rounds to alter perceptions of the marque and what it is supposed to be about.

They cite the arrival of the new Mustang and the imminent Edge (large SUV) as well as the stunning GT (primed for Le Mans) as examples of the 'new' Ford. The campaign is about "taking a fresh look at the familiar" and about casting aside pre-conceptions.

And while we're at it, they suggest, we can all "unlearn a few things about ourselves and the world around us."

What do you think of that?
