New Dacia Duster available this week is the country's most affordable SUV/family crossover, company claims
Just here: Dacia Duster
The new Dacia Duster went on sale here on Monday and is priced from €17,390 (to €24,490), which the company claims makes it the country's most affordable SUV/family crossover.
It's six years since the first models landed here. Since then, more than 10,000 have been bought. To put the new car's price in context, those first models cost from around €15,000.
Dacia claims the car is totally new - no body panels are carried over. Inside the dash and interior are new too, the company says. There are three trim levels and one petrol and one diesel engine for now. There will be a 4x4 diesel coming in the first quarter of next year.
Standard spec includes 16in steel wheels, LED daytime running lights, stop and start, full-length curtain airbags, ISOFIX points in the rear, body coloured bumpers, DAB radio and Bluetooth.
Some key points:
* There is a MediaNav multimedia touchscreen display
* The car has the same boot capacity (445 litres for 2WD; 376 for 4WD)
* Top trim versions have keyless entry
* Climate control available for the first time.
