New BMW X4 to arrive by summer
This is a first picture of the second-generation BMW X4, which is due here in the summer after its Geneva debut. On-the-road prices are expected to start at €67,195 and range to €90,675 for the M40d.
They say there's a lot more emphasis on sportiness in this rival for the Porsche Macan and Mercedes GLC Coupe.
The new X4 is 50kg lighter and has the lowest drag coefficient (Cd of 0.30) in its segment.
There will be four trims and several engines ranging in power from 184hp to 360hp.
And 8spd Steptronic transmission and intelligent all-wheel drive will be standard across the range.
The X4 is 81 mm longer, 37mm wider and the wheelbase is up 54mm compared with the outgoing model.
The €67,195 start price is for the xDrive 20d Sport. Others include: xDrive M Sport €71,505; xDrive 20d M Sport X €73,735; and a M40d €90,675.
