Just in: Subaru's new XV crossover goes on sale in Ireland
Subaru's new XV crossover has just gone on sale here.
It costs from €33,495 (for the 1.6i SE Lineartronic CVT) and tops at €38,495 for the 2.0i SE Premium CVT.
It's built on the new Subaru global platform and, they claim, the only thing that's carried over from the previous model is the name.
As you would expect from a Subaru, symmetrical all-wheel drive is standard. The system also has an X-MODE, which means it drives better on poorer roads.
The platform on which it's built increases rigidity, and they are claiming big improvements to the suspension's performance.
Standard spec (forgive pun) includes the company's EyeSight driver assist technology. Other technologies on board include pre-collision braking control, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist and high beam assist.
There is an 8in touchscreen central infotainment display. The system incorporates Subaru's STARLINK and is both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible.
As well as the transmission having auto-step shift control, there is also a 7spd manual function that lets you pick up speed at your own discretion.
