The Joe Duffy Group has just announced the development of what it claims will be the country's largest BMW dealership.

The undertaking involves an investment of €11m and the creation of a further 20 jobs.

The new BMW, BMWi, MINI and Mottorad new-and-used-car showroom is expected to open in the fourth quarter of the year. It will be close by the existing showroom at Exit 5, M50, North Road, Charlestown, Dublin 11.

The new dealership will have 250 car parking spaces. And it will also have a state-of-the-art workshop with 30 service bays.

The company explained that the building of the new facility is now well under way.

In a statement the firm added: "This relocation forms part of the Joe Duffy Motor Group's €30m expansion plan, which was announced last July.

"This flagship BMW dealership will create an additional 20 jobs locally in sales, aftersales and administration over the next three years."

Joe Duffy Group chief executive Gavin Hydes said: "The new multi-storey BMW retail facility, overlooking the M50, is a significant part of the group's investment and expansion plans and demonstrates our confidence in the BMW brand."
