Skoda's first electric SUV will have an Irish 'link' when it gets here early next year.

The first four letters spell the name of the legendary singer Enya. Add a Q and you get the full name: ENYAQ.

Details of the new car will emerge later in the spring.

* Renault's revised large five-seater Koleos costs from €40,990.

The revamp coincides with a reduced price and more equipment. There are two engines new to the range with 2WD versions getting a 1.7 dCi 150 powerplant while the 4WD models get a 2.0 dCi 190. They claim both have significantly improved CO2 emissions and fuel consumption compared with the outgoing dCi 175 version (tax drops from €570 to €390). A CVT automatic gearbox is standard. There are two, improved equipment levels. Iconic gets hands-free parking, full LED headlights, two-stage reclining rear seats 7ins touchscreen with nav, rear parking cameras etc.

GT Line adds an 8.7ins touchscreen and 19ins two-tone alloys.
