Craig Breen is known as one of the hardest working drivers on the rally scene, his dream of becoming a Circuit of Ireland champion has finally come true but don't think he's going to rest on his laurels just yet.

Peugeot Rally Academy driver Craig Breen has achieved a childhood ambition by winning the Discover Northern Ireland Circuit of Ireland Rally, putting himself in the lead of the 2015 FIA European Rally Championship.

Craig and his co-driver Scott Martin kept going despite a problem with the turbo on the Peugeot T16.

"Today I achieved my dream and won @CircuitIreland, I am honestly speechless! Thank you to all for making this victory happen, incredible!" said Breen on Twitter.

“To put my name on the same trophy as my hero Frank Meagher is something really special. We had an overshoot and stalled twice on the last stage. I thought I’d blown it, but Scott kept my head together. I have nothing left in my body.”

Luckily Craig escaped his own close calls on those remaining stages to realise his dream and take a hard fought rally win by 6.4 seconds over his championship rival Kajetanowicz.

It was a Good week-end in Ireland for the Peugeot Rally Academy with the 5th place of Craig’s team mate (Charles Martin – 208T16) and Diogo Gago-208R2 (4th in Junior)
