Honda Civic 4dr: looks like it's on way here
It looks like there will be some good news coming down the line for fans of the Honda Civic saloon.
I understand the 4dr, which has previously been ruled out for sale here in right-hand-drive, is now likely to arrive towards the end of next summer.
It is a gorgeous looking car and understandably there is a regular trickle of queries about it from readers who prefer it to the 5dr hatch.
Honda has no real idea of specification or pricing as yet - it is a long way off.
However, knowing it could be around next year will come as a pleasant surprise to current owners and potential buyers.
Meanwhile, there is a more immediate arrival of interest too. The much-awaited, revised 1.6-litre diesel will be on sale for January in the Civic 5dr.
It will be interesting to see what sort of demand there will be for it in the current anti-diesel climate.
But this was, in its previous guise, a remarkably frugal engine and extremely popular.
In its absence, Honda here has been relying on the 1-litre and 1.5 petrols for some time.
