Born in 1995? Then Mercedes-Benz have designed a car just for you
Talk about high concepts.
Mercedes-Benz has unveiled its car of the future with its Vision Tokyo car, specially designed for those who were born in the year 1995 or later.
Unveiled at the Toyko Motor Show by head of design Gordon Wagner, the self-driving concept car looks like a cross between a spaceship and a minivan.
It has lounge-like seating that can hold up to five people, is powered by a hybrid fuel cell system, and projects holographic 3D of apps, maps and other displays. You can also drive the car if you need to.
It can hold up to five people and was designed with urban Generation Zers - people born after 1995 - in mind.
Perhaps most interestingly, the Mercedes car has a “learning and a predictive engine”, so that with every trip it becomes more familiar with its occupants.
Hold on to your wallets, though – even if you are 20 and unimaginably wealthy. This is a one-off product and won’t be hitting the production lines any time soon.
