A woman received the perfect festive present in the Olympia Theatre when her boyfriend of 11 years proposed to her during the pantomime Freezin'.
Italian Vito Tamburro emailed cast member Al Porter and Stuart O'Connor - who's involved in the production - asking if they could facilitate the romantic proposal during Monday night's show.
"He emailed in and myself and Al got together to see what we could do for him on the night," Stuart told the Herald.
"We decided we'd organise a mock raffle so that Rosanna wouldn't get suspicious as to what was going on. Towards the end of the night we announced the 'raffle' winners and brought the couple backstage," he added.
The girlfriend was unaware as to Vito's plans. After taking a couple of pictures with the cast, the couple were brought back out onto the stage.
However, as Lolly Polly - played by comedian Al Porter - introduced the couple to the audience, he handed the microphone to Vito. He then got down on one knee and proposed to a stunned Rosanna.
"It's the first time we've ever had a proposal. We had 1,300 people in on Monday night and when she said 'Yes' the place erupted, it was absolutely brilliant," Stuart said.
