Posh owners

would buy electric cars

NEARLY 40pc of BMW, Audi, Mercedes and Jaguar drivers would buy, or seriously think about buying an all-electric car.

However, there is a catch. It would have to be capable of covering 480km from one charge.

And it will be some time before we see that.

The survey was conducted by car-review site WeLoveAnyCar.com - and 24,227 prestige car owners responded.

The results suggest
there is a potentially
large market for electric cars if the range is
right.
