To mark the 50th anniversary of John B Keane's The Field, a major new production of the play with author and actor Michael Harding, in the iconic role of the Bull McCabe, will be performed at the Gaiety Theatre from April 23 to May 16. PJ Gallagher,  star of Naked Camera, will perform his show Concussion at Vicar Street, Thomas Street, on Friday April 17, 7.30pm. What's more, PJ and Joanne McNally will perform Separated at Birth: The Lighter Side of Adoption by two Comedy Orphans, on May 8 in Vicar Street, followed by a nationwide


Ballet Ireland's Tutus & Beyond takes audiences from traditional classical ballet to striking contemporary work, and features the premiere of a magical new ballet, Lost, by Ludovic Ondievla. It takes place at the Pavilion, Dun Laoghaire on Tuesday April 14, 8pm. Suitable for children aged 6 years plus.


Tonn is an exhibition of wonderfully evocative abstract landscape paintings by Gwen O'Dowd at Hillsboro Fine Art, 49 Parnell Square West, Dublin 1, until April 29. Dublin-based Gwen's artistic concerns are the mythically sexualised landscape of coastal Ireland and the elemental force of the waves.
