The celebrated Imelda Dervan is the star of The ESB 'Great' Christmas Concert at the National Concert Hall.

She will be joined for the performance on Wednesday at 8.00pm by the Lassus Scholars and Piccolo Lasso,  the Orlando Chamber Orchestra and conductor Ite O'Donovan.


The awarding-winning Louise O'Neill is one of the keynote speakers at #FemFest - a major conference for young women on body image and leadership. Organised by the National Women's Council of Ireland, the conference takes place on Friday December 4, at Croke Park.


Celebrated florist James Bailie is hosting a coffee morning/seasonal styling session at Christ Church Hall, Sandymount next Saturday. James will demonstrate different ways of making floral arrangements for Christmas while you sip. All in aid of the Hospice. Phone 086-8519745


former RTE 2FM DJ turned jewellery designer Jenny Huston and goldsmith Helena Malone are just some of the exhibitors at this year's National Crafts and Design Fair. The fair takes place at the RDS main hall from Wednesday next to Sunday, 10am each day.


A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens will be performed on Saturday, December 12 at 7pm and Sunday, December 13 at 1pm in the Banqueting Hall, Annesbrook, Co Meath. Tickets, €45, include a festive three-course meal. Booking: 041 9823293/087 2806970.
