If you do one thing this week: Bring flowers

The world première of Stuart Thomas's You Don't Bring Me Flowers, starring Katherine Lynch (Wagon's Den) and Karen Ardiff (Brooklyn), runs at the Tivoli, Francis Street, from November 4 to 20.


Square One Theatre Group presents The House, a Tom Murphy play about Christy Cavanagh, who returns home and is unhappy to find that the place he calls home is up for sale, at Mermaid Theatre, Bray, Co Wicklow, from November 3 to 7, 7.30pm. Maeve Miller directs.


Patrick Lafcadio Hearn, also known as Koizumi Yakumo, is an Irish author celebrated in Japan, where his ghost stories made him famous. The exhibition Coming Home: The Open Mind of Patrick Lafcadio Hearn, runs in The Little Museum of Dublin, Stephen's Green, until January 3.


The Wolf and Peter by David Bolger at the Pavilion Theatre, Dún Laoghaire, is a fun theatrical adaptation of the musical classic, Peter and the Wolf, presented by CoisCéim Dance Theatre, on Thursday November 5, at 11am/4pm.


Enter an animal kingdom at Pet Expo at the RDS Simmonscourt, Dublin on November 7 and 8, when you can get up close and personal to all sorts animals from the feathered to small and furry, from cats and dogs to the more unusual alpacas and snakes. Bring the whole family - and your dog - family tickets are €25.
