How to get a table... if you're not a celeb
Walk in Restaurant schedules are never exact. Avoid the 8pm rush and arrive earlier or later on the off-chance there's an opening.
Slot in Many of the restaurants we spoke to operated a cancellation list of sorts. Pass on your details 72 to 48 hours beforehand and ring on the day to check in.
Be flexible If you're prepared to eat really early or really late, or if you agree to a short sitting, you might just nab the last available table.
Beg Explain how much a table would mean to you and your significant other. Compliment outrageously the food, decor, chef, waiting staff - whatever it takes. And don't give up on your quest too easily either.
Admit defeat If all else fails, put down your 2016 booking now.
