Traditional family homes in Dublin 16
Odin's Way, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16
Set at the foothills of Dublin Mountains, Odin's Way in Rathfarnham is among the plethora of new developments launched over the last year in Dublin 16. It's located off Taylor's Lane, across the road from Grange Golf Club.
The scheme of traditional four-bed family homes, built by Rosemount Properties, was first released in February, with another phase earmarked for September. When Odin's Way is complete, it will comprise 30 homes in all. Most are semi-detached houses laid out over two-and-half floors, though a single-storey gate lodge is due to be released there at a later stage.
For now, there are two four-bed semi-detached houses on the market at Odin's Way. Each one measures 1,679 sq ft and comes with a price-tag of €610,000.
All the A3-rated houses in the initial phase have a south-facing garden and patio to the rear, and to the front is a cobble-lock driveway that can fit two cars.
Externally, the houses are finished in brick and render, while inside, there are painted shaker-style kitchens supplied by Brendan Gallagher. The kitchen units are in a classic solid ash and feature a Silestone Blanco maple quartz worktop, upstand and island unit.
Odin's Way is close to St Enda's Park, once home to Padraig Pearse's school, and the 247-acre Marlay Park. The M50 is a few minutes' drive away, at Junction 12, while the centre of Dublin is 25 minutes away.
Viewings at Odin's Way are by appointment.
