This is Fintragh 11 Shrewsbury Road in Dublin 4 - the most expensive house sold in the first six months of this year, at €8.45m.

This Edwardian detached home sits on 0.7 acres and has an outdoor swimming pool and tennis court, and it also sits on Shrewsbury Road in Ballsbridge - arguably Ireland's most sought-after address.

Fintragh has eight bedrooms and six receptions across 5,700 sq ft, and there's also a staff quarters.

Upstairs, there are seven generous bedrooms which are set over the upper landing and first floor.

Fintragh was on the market for a few years, and was sold by Pennyvale Property, a property investment vehicle for the Assaf family, who bought it in 1987.

Before that, it was owned by the Kidney family, a medical family with 12 children, who were the first on the road to have a heated outdoor swimming pool.

Fintragh's postal code has the highest average price for homes at €890K, according to MyHome.ie.

This is followed by Dublin 6 at €740K, Dublin 14 at €558K, Dublin 6W at €529 and Dublin 18 at €510.
