A new phase has come on stream at the 68-unit development at Marlton Hall in Wicklow town. Built by Redmond Homes, well-known locally for other developments including Marlton Springs and the Ashdown Park and Amber Springs Hotels, these three- and four-beds are aimed at the family market, and will most likely attract both first-time buyers and those trading up.

Finished in a grey cut-stone and white plaster exterior, they have black detailing on the window surrounds, front door and some feature ironmongery on an upstairs balcony. Fronts are paved with a small lawn with wall and fencing separating properties.

Houses are A-rated with solar panels, three thermostatically controlled heat zones, triple glazing and a wood burning stove.

The three-bed is 1,103 sq ft with a kitchen/dining room to the rear, separate sitting room up front and a guest WC in the hallway. One of the three bedrooms is en-suite and there is a family bathroom. This semi-detached is on the market for €275,000.

The four-bed measures 1,340 sq ft and has a similar layout with two styles - a semi-detached and detached version. The former is €295,000-€299,000 while the stand-alone variety is €330,000.

Given it's the Garden County, there are plenty of local amenities and Wicklow Golf Club is 2.4km away while the River Vartry flows into the estuary on the other side of the town. Dublin city is a 50km drive up the N11 passing Greystones and Newtownmountkennedy.

Viewing is this Saturday and Sunday from 2-4pm with a new showhouse.
