Wicklow: Latest schemes will appeal to commuters

Bray, Co Wicklow has experienced a dearth of new schemes in the post-crash era. So Strand Road, a development of 39 two and three-bed apartments, will likely prove popular with commuters. Strand Road is due to be released in early 2019.

Meanwhile, The Friary is being built off the town's Church Road. It will comprise 15 four and five-bed three-storey family homes. It's due to launch in the first quarter. Just outside Wicklow Town, Carraig Beag will go on the market in the second quarter in the Ballynerrin area. The development will consist of 35 two, three, four and five-bed homes.

In Wicklow Town, Skyline Investments will release the first phase of 35 three and four-bed houses at Bollarney Woods in March.

At Ashford, Ardstone Homes is set to launch the first 34 units of Ballinahinch Wood (pictured above) in February. The initial release will consist of three and four-bed semi-detached houses and detached bungalows. In the trendy village of Greystones, a new section is due in February at SeaGreen, located on a hill off Chapel Road. There will be 50 houses in total, with 20 initially offered for sale. Prices are expected to start at €565,000.

At another existing scheme, Marina Village Greystones, this spring will see the launch of three-bed townhouses, as well as show-apartments for the one and two-bed units - expected to command €425,000 and €535,000, respectively. The long-awaited next phase of Waverly will be launched by autumn. Less than a 10-minute drive from Greystones, off Kilcoole's main street, 59 homes will be launched at a scheme called Ternlee.
