On the western edge of Templeogue, a village that counts poet Austin Clarke and former Taoiseach Liam Cosgrave among its former residents, lies an enclave called Fairborne.
The scheme, which was developed by Valiant Homes just off the Templeogue Road at Templeville Park and launched last year, comprises just four detached properties set around a landscaped green.
Each of the four bespoke homes - called The Amelia, The Platinum, The Lincoln and The Eden - have between 1,823 sq ft and 1,920 sq ft of living space across three floors.
Just two of the four homes are still available; both are five-bed houses measuring 1,920 sq ft and are priced from €850,000 and €895,000, respectively.
The block-built properties were designed to fit in with period properties on the Templeogue Road: they have a red-brick finish and a feature granite stringcourse.
Each house has a custom-designed fitted kitchen with Siemens appliances, and a sealed feature gas fire forms the focal point of the living room. The bathrooms are tiled and come with polished chrome fittings.
All the homes at Fairborne, which is 7km from centre of Dublin, have an A2 BER, thanks to energy-efficient features such as three-zone controls for the gas-fired central heating system, a heat recovery ventilation system, double-glazed NorDan windows, and PV panels on the roof to generate extra electricity. Viewings at Fairborne will be held from 1pm to 1.30pm tomorrow.
