Traditional-style houses with A-rated perks
Oak Glebe, Kildare Town, Co Kildare
Oak Glebe, a development of four-bed detached homes in Kildare town, is a short walk away from the train station, so will likely appeal to commuters seeking a large family home.
Built by Sonlee Properties, Oak Glebe is situated on the town's Rathbride Road. Of the 16 homes in the scheme, launched in November, 12 are still for sale. Prices for the properties, which extend over 1,755 sq ft, start at €385,000.
The façade of the traditional-style houses comes with a bay window, a canopy over a hardwood front door flanked either side by glazing, ivory-coloured window frames, and feature corbels to the roof.
There is enough parking for two cars in the walled-in front gravelled driveway, which is accessed via wrought-iron gates. To the rear is a walled-in garden and a patio.
Inside, there is a fitted kitchen and a utility room with built-in units, a feature fireplace with an insert stove in the living room, sleek contemporary-style sanitary ware in the bathrooms and ensuites, and fitted wardrobes in the master bedroom.
The A-rated homes come with PV panels on the roof and have a gas central heating system. The showhouse at Oak Glebe is open every Sunday, from 2pm to 4pm.
