First-time buyers renting in locations such as west Dublin and trader-uppers in search of more bang for their buck than they'd get in the capital have been drawn to Fairfield, a scheme in the Meath commuter town of Dunshaughlin.
Fairfield, which is 34km from Dublin city centre and will comprise 94 three and four-bed properties when it's finished, was launched in August by Kingscroft Developments. A third phase of Fairfield, consisting of 20 homes, was released two weeks ago.
Prices in the latest tranche start at €315,000 for a south-facing three-bed semi-detached house measuring 1,130 sq ft. A four-bed version, spanning 1,335 sq ft, costs from €345,000, while a 1,431-sq ft extended four-bed semi is priced from €375,000. The four-bed detached style in this release is selling for €380,000. Each home comes with an A3 BER.
Commuters can avail of the M3 motorway, Bus Éireann routes or Irish Rail's park-and-ride facility. Viewings at Fairfield will take place today, between 12pm-3pm, as well as tomorrow and Sunday, from 1pm-4pm.
