Trader-uppers eye homes close to the Liffey
Rokeby Park, Lucan, Co Dublin
The young first-time buyers who acquired homes around the west Dublin village of Lucan during the noughties now have expanding families and are on the hunt for a larger house near the centre of Lucan.
This is where Rokeby Park comes in: the high-end Clonee Road scheme, located 1km from the riverside village, has a range of four- and five-bed detached family homes.
While future phases are earmarked for the 71-unit development later in the year, there is still some availability at Rokeby Park as the new homes market begins to wind down ahead of its summer break. This includes the showhouse for the Sandpiper, a four-bed bungalow measuring 1,922 sq ft. The showhouse and its contents are selling for €760,000.
Prices for the Teal, a style released in November, start at €750,000. This house type has 1,960 sq ft of accommodation arranged over two floors, but buyers have the option to extend the four-bed design into the second floor and create a fifth bedroom, bringing the total size to 2,454 sq ft. The four-bed Kingfisher spans 2,450 sq ft and costs from €795,000.
Finishes include a kitchen and fitted bedroom wardobes from Cawley's Furniture, Villeroy & Boch sanitaryware in the bathrooms.
