Taking first steps to suburban duplex
Stillorgan Gate, Stillorgan, Co Dublin
After the front row of three-storey terraced houses at Stillorgan Gate in the eponymous south Dublin suburb were sold earlier this year, developer Caye Construction focused on the apartments and duplexes it's building behind the houses, all of which are set around a central landscaped courtyard.
Caye is led by Sean Keegan, the son of Castleknock-based developer Larry Keegan, who recently built Terenure Gate.
At Stillorgan Gate, which is situated off the Upper Kilmacud Road, viewings are being held this weekend for prospective buyers of one two-bed apartment and a three-bed duplex. The two-bed measures 915 sq ft and costs from €460,000, while the three-bed unit spans 1,360 sq ft and is priced from €575,000.
The duplexes are located on top of a ground floor apartment but have their own independent entrance, via a flight of steps to the first floor of the building. Like the houses to the front of the development, the façade of the apartment blocks feature a mix of red brick and monocouche render, with uPVC EcoClad sash windows from Munster Joinery and granite to the windowsills and reveals.
There is cobble-lock to the front driveways.
Inside the A3-rated houses, there are higher-than-average ceilings, built-in bedroom wardrobes from Bedroom Elegance, and a custom-designed kitchen fitted with Velstone countertops, classic solid wood painted doors with under-and above cabinet lighting, and integrated Smeg appliances.
There is a bus stop directly across the road from Stillorgan Gate, while the nearest Luas stop at Kilmacud, south of the grounds of St Benildus College, is just a 10-minute walk.
From there, the Luas only takes 20 minutes to reach St Stephen's Green. The development is also close to the M50 and N11.
Stillorgan Gate will be on view between 11am and 12pm tomorrow. Enquiries to: Sherry FitzGerald New Homes (01) 6671888.
