Scheme may answer growing families' prayers
Churchfields, Ashbourne, Co Meath
Growing families and first-time buyers seeking more space than they'd get in Dublin for the same price may find the answer at Churchfields in Ashbourne, 20km from the city centre.
The scheme, first launched in 2016, is set amid grounds landscaped with trees native to the area, and flowering shrubs, grasses and perennials to attract bees, butterflies and birds. The scheme will have some 300 three, four and five-bed family homes when it's eventually finished.
Of the 20 three and four-bed homes released at Churchfields in mid-February, seven are still available. Prices start at €330,000 for a three-bed mid-terraced style and at €380,000 for a four-bed semi-detached type.
The facade of each property is finished in Ibstock brick, with natural limestone to the window surrounds and sills. Internal features included as standard in the price are contemporary-style kitchens with high-gloss doors, 9ft ceiling-to-floor heights to the ground floor, fitted bedroom wardrobes and a convertible attic. Each home at Churchfields has an A3 BER.
Ashbourne itself is close to the junction of the N2 and M2 motorway, providing a direct link to the M50. Viewings will take place tomorrow and Sunday, between 2.30pm and 4pm.
