Rock and stroll by the sea
Seaview Square, Cnoc na Mara, Blackrock, Co Louth
With thousands flocking to the beach during the warmest two weeks of the year so far, it's been an auspicious time for viewings at Seaview Square.
During the 1950s and 1960s, Blackrock was a prime holiday destination for the landlocked denizens of Co Monaghan and Co Cavan. After the opening of the M1 motorway to Dublin, the village's role as a resort was superseded by its status as a commuter hub for the capital.
Of the 28 terraced and semi-detached three-bed homes released at the Shannon Homes development in February, four are still available. Each extends over 1,170 sq ft and costs from €230,000. Arranged around a landscaped green space, each house has a striking facade finished in a combination of brick and tall windows that reach from the ground floor right up o the vaulted ceiling in the master bedroom.
The fitted kitchen and bedroom wardrobes were supplied by Kube Interiors, while an air-to-water heat pump helps contribute to the A3 energy rating. Cnoc Na Mara is a 50-minute drive to the M50. Viewings are by appointment. Enquiries to: DNG Duffy (042) 9351011
