Properties built on historic foundation
Coopers Grange, Ballincollig, Co Cork
Coopers Grange is the fifth and final section of the Old Quarter scheme that forms part of Ballincollig Town Centre, a 90-ac development built by O'Flynn Construction on the former military barracks in the Cork town that incorporates housing, restaurants, offices, and retail centres.
Ten homes were released at Coopers Grange in mid-March and six are still available. The houses, which are off the Old Fort Road, are under construction and will be finished as soon as the end of 2018.
Three of the remaining properties are three-bed semi-detached homes measuring 1,171 sq ft and priced from €350,000, and three are 1,345-sq ft four-bed semis costing from €400,000 apiece.
Each of the homes has a walled cobbled driveway out front and a landscaped rear garden and paved patio to the rear that can be accessed via French doors from the kitchen/diner. Inside, there is a conservatory-style glazed family room, a master bedroom with a shower in the ensuite, cornicing to the living room and hall, a solid fuel stove and fireplace in the living room, fitted wardrobes to two of the bedrooms, and a fitted kitchen.
The homes and their finishes are similar to those at Millers Court, another Old Quarter section where the showhouses are being used to market Coopers Grange.
Ballincollig is home to multinational employers such as EMC/Dell and VMWare, as well as the 134-ac Regional Park, where gunpowder was once manufactured for the British armed forces worldwide. The Ballincollig bypass (N28) makes Cork city more accessible, while West Cork and Killarney are less than an hour's drive away.
Viewings at Coopers Grange will take place between 11am and 11:30am tomorrow and by private appointment.
