Plenty of living room close to the ski slopes of Kilternan
Struan Glen, Kilternan, Dublin 18
Irish skiers haven't traditionally troubled the Winter Olympics much, but those who find their ski legs at home often do so on the country's only dry ski slopes at Kilternan, on the foothills of the Dublin Mountains near the Wicklow border.
It is near this village, off the Enniskerry Road, that Struan Glen launched almost a year ago. This weekend, the final four homes at the 11-unit boutique scheme will be released to the market.
The four properties, all of which are complete, range in size from 1,873 sq ft to 2,242 sq ft. Prices start at €720,000.
Built by Stoneville Developments, each of the detached properties have been individually designed and have a blend of classic and contemporary features. Their exteriors are finished in a mix of brick and render, and a canopy hangs over each home's grey front door.
The four-beds are laid out over three floors to maximise the views of the surrounding area. Their stand-out features include floor-to-ceiling panoramic sliding doors from the kitchen that enable residents make the most of the back garden, as well as bespoke cabinets and shelving fitted either side of a wall-mounted gas stove.
While the internal layouts vary, each property has two living rooms - one at ground floor level and one at first floor level. Each home has an A2 BER. Roof-mounted solar panels help heat domestic water and the central heating is generated by an A-rated energy-saving gas condensing boiler.
The Luas stop at Carrickmines is a five-minute drive from Struan Glen and the M50 motorway is within easy reach.
Viewings will take place tomorrow between 11.30am-12.30pm.
