Penthouse with a touch of Hollywood
15 Embassy Court Ballsbridge, Dublin 4
Asking price: €1.75m Agent: Savills (01) 618 1300
Embassy Court, a high-end complex that's named after Ballsbridge's embassy belt, is not entirely new - after it was built in 2004, its apartments and penthouses were used as short-term corporate lets, with some of its better-known tenants including Keira Knightley and Colin Farrell.
After the property market recovered from the crash, Twinlite, Embassy Court's original developer, refurbished the units and began selling them for the first time in 2016.
No 15 Embassy Court, a three-bed penthouse, went on the market last September, having been reconfigured and fully revamped. The price of Embassy Court's final penthouse was reduced from €2.1m to €1.995m in February, and has since been slashed again to €1.75m. Like other properties over the €1m mark, the penthouse's price drop reflects a reluctance from high-flyers to make decisions on what may be a discretionary property purchase until the outcome of Brexit becomes clearer.
The penthouse spans 1,882 sq ft and has an entrance hall, an open-plan sitting and dining room, a kitchen, a bathroom, and three bedrooms - one of which is ensuite. Embassy Court is 3km from Grafton Street and 150m from the Dart station at Sandymount. Viewings are by appointment.
