The avian theme resonates strongly at Landen Park - all five house styles are named after birds that inhabit its historic environs. The development was built on some land that used to belong to Oldtown House in Naas, an early 18th century Palladian-winged home set on a 14ac estate.

The final phase of homes at Landen Park will be released this weekend, two years after the scheme was first released. There are 10 homes in this tranche, including the three showhouses used to market the development. The showhomes were styled by Michelle Hetherington, winner of Fit-Out Designer of the Year 2015. She also custom-designed the choice of kitchens, wardrobes and fireplaces being offered to buyers at Landen Park. Since the initial launch of the 110-unit development of detached and semi-detached homes, built by Tullamore-based Capital Homes, more than 50 buyers - most of whom are young couples and families - have moved in.

Many of the houses in this last phase overlook a three-acre green space that runs along the Grand Canal. There is a variety of house types available in this batch, though The Lark, a semi-detached style with 1,530 sq ft of accommodation, has sold out apart from the showhouse, which is priced at €420,000. The Heron is a slightly larger style, measuring 1,750 sq ft and priced from €480,000. The Heron furnished showhouse costs €525,000.

The Swan, a 1,950-sq ft four-bed detached house style, costs €525,000. The showhouse for this type is selling for €565,000 and while it has been fitted with flooring and kitchen appliances, it is not fully furnished. The Pheasant house type, which spans 2,050 sq ft and was priced at €550,000, has also sold out, including the showhouse. The last house type at Landen Park is The Falcon: this is a one-off home laid out over three floors. It measures 2,050 sq ft and costs from €520,000.

The showhouses at Landen Park will be open between 2pm-2.30pm tomorrow and Sunday. To view a video of the development, visit
