Live like a lord with park on doorstep

Glenveagh Proby Place, Blackrock, Dublin

Glenveagh Proby Place 2

Grey House was built for Lord Proby in Blackrock in 1746 so he could escape the hectic lifestyle of the city centre. The period property's original grounds, which featured walled orchards, tree-lined walkways and an ornamental lake, are now part of Carysfort Park.

Glenveagh Proby Place, a development of 20 semi-detached family homes that's named after Lord Proby, is just a three-minute walk from the park. The homes, which are selling off the plans, are surrounded by the landscaping set within Proby Square, just off Carysfort Avenue.

The Glenveagh Homes scheme will comprise four-bed, two-storey semi-detached houses measuring 1,910 sq ft and four/five-bed three-storey properties with sizes ranging from 2,325 sq ft to 2,950 sq ft.

Just four of the houses will go on the market this weekend, with two already having been sold. Prices start at €1.05m for The Deerpark, a four-bed semi, while the Carysfort and the Rockfield, the names of the four/five-bed styles, are priced from €1.35m. The red-brick houses have a flat zinc canopy over the front door, slate-effect bullnose roof tiles, and natural granite to the sills of the double-glazed Rationel timber windows. Each front garden is paved and comes with soft planting, while the back garden has a paved patio.

Throughout the ground floor, there are extra-high ceilings. Each of the houses has a solid wood in-frame kitchen from Nolan Kitchens, and it features an island unit, quartz stone worktops plus Siemens appliances.

In the four/five-bed houses, there is an additional living room off the kitchen that has been fitted with large Rationel windows to maximise sunlight. There are three bedrooms on the first floor and a fourth bedroom on the second floor. Pull-down stairs give access to the attic.

In the bathrooms, there is Villeroy & Boch sanitaryware, and chrome-effect towel radiators.

The village's Dart station is a 10-minute walk away.

The floor plans and marketing material is now available to view by appointment. Enquiries to: Sherry FitzGerald New Homes (01) 6671888
