Kilternan's Rockville has flower power
Rockville, Kilternan, Dublin 18
Asking price: From €530,000 Agent: DNG New Homes (01) 491 2600
Rockville, set around the eponymous 18th-century Rockville House in Kilternan, is a new development with a difference: taking inspiration from famed British horticulturist and garden designer Gertrude Jekyll, the estate's original walled garden is being brought back to life for residents of the new scheme to enjoy.
This Maplewood Homes development, situated at the foot of the Dublin Mountains, launched in October, with a second phase following in February. The last five new-build houses are still available, with the three-bed original gate lodge due to go on the market in late summer, and Rockville House itself going up for sale at a later stage.
Prices for the houses currently on release start at €530,000 for the only three-bed semi-detached home available. Prices for three different four-bed end-of-terrace designs range from €585,000 to €695,000, while a detached four-bed spanning 2,445 sq ft that comes with a large south-east facing garden is selling for €895,000. Buyers have a choice of three colours for the bespoke kitchens.
The Rockville showhouses are on view by appointment.
