The southwest Dublin village of Rathcoole is best known for An Poitín Stil, the thatched pub and restaurant built on the site of an inn house that was a landmark for people making their journey west for centuries.
These days, its location - just off the M7 - has made Rathcoole an attractive destination for house buyers who want to live within the confines of Co Dublin.
Last year, Stanley Residential began selling 54 homes at Green Lane Manor, located off the village's eponymous Green Lane. The scheme is now in its final stage of 14 homes, of which six were recently released to the market.
Two of those six properties are still for sale; both are four-bed semi-detached homes that measure 1,900 sq ft and cost from €455,000. The houses in the next phase, which will be released later this year, will have the added benefit of south-facing back gardens that are not overlooked.
The three-storey four-bed semis currently for sale have a brick facade, bay windows and a slate canopy over the front door. Inside, Walkinstown-based QK Living supplied the kitchen and its quartz worktops.
