It's plain sailing to Greystones marina
Glenveagh Marina Village, Greystones, Co Wicklow
Well-heeled downsizers and young professionals are the target market for the first phase of apartments at Glenveagh Marina Village, Greystones, built in the fashionable Co Wicklow town in a public-private partnership that also saw the construction of a new marina and harbour.
Some 96 out of the 158 houses planned for Marina Village have been sold since the development was launched in 2016. Yesterday, Glenveagh Properties released the initial 58 of the 200 apartments that will be built at the vast waterfront scheme, which is nestled on an inlet south of Bray Head.
The first tranche of apartments is set out in three main sections along the front of the marina. Some of the apartments will command uninterrupted views out across the Irish Sea.
Prices start at €425,000 for a standard 544-sq ft one-bed and at €535,000 for the two-beds, which range in size from 874 sq ft to 1,386 sq ft. Three-bed penthouses will be released later.
The O'Mahony Pike Architects-designed homes will be fitted with high-performance Scandinavian timber windows and front doors, all from NorDan. Inside, each open-plan living area will come with a terrace or winter garden.
Each kitchen will come from the Feel range at Nolte, the high-end German brand, and will be supplied by McNally Kitchens. The units are finished in a soft matt lacquer in papyrus grey and satin white, with Silestone Carrera worktops and appliances from De Dietrich and Whirlpool.
The bathrooms are fitted with Villeroy & Boch sanitaryware and porcelain tiles, and the BeSpace bedroom wardrobes have a handle-less finish. A heat recovery ventilation system provides fresh air all year round.
The marketing suite is on view by appointment today, tomorrow and Sunday.
