Asking price: From €245,000

Laurence Goodman Jnr, a son of Louth beef baron Larry Goodman, leads Urban Life, the developer behind the Mount Hamilton scheme of family homes on Dundalk's Carrick Road.
The estate originally launched off the plans in 2016, but buyers keen on a property at the development will have to stake their claim now as the final phase of Mount Hamilton went on the market earlier this week.
The last 11 houses at the development, which will have 169 homes when it's finished, all overlook a communal green space. Prices start at €245,000 for a three-bed semi-detached property measuring 1,152 sq ft, at €255,000 for a 1,249-sq ft four-bed semi, and at €355,000 for a four-bed detached design extending over 1,744 sq ft.
The block-built houses have a redbrick façade, a driveway out front and a garden to the rear. Inside, there is a choice of colours, upstands and worktops for the shaker-style kitchen, as well as fitted wardrobes to some of the bedrooms.
Mount Hamilton is within walking distance of Clarke train station and the town centre. The scheme is a few minutes' drive from the M1 motorway, while Dublin city centre is 82km away.
Viewings at Mount Hamilton are held from 1pm to 2pm on Saturdays or can be arranged by appointment.
