Gate open for last 16 Stillorgan homes
Stillorgan Gate, Stillorgan, Co Dublin
After the front row of three-storey, red-brick houses at Stillorgan Gate in the eponymous south Dublin suburb were sold earlier this year, developer Caye Construction focused on building apartments and duplexes behind the houses.
Caye is led by Sean Keegan, the son of Castleknock-based developer Larry Keegan, who recently built Terenure Gate. Viewings are being held this weekend for the final release of 16 homes at Stillorgan Gate, which is situated off the Upper Kilmacud Road.
Prices for the latest tranche start at €450,000 for a two-bed apartment measuring 915 sq ft and at €560,000 for a 1,360 sq ft, three-bed duplex. Of the handful of four-bed houses left for sale, prices start at €835,000.
Each duplex is situated on top of a ground-floor apartment but has its own independent entrance, via a flight of steps to the first floor of the building. Like the houses to the front of the development, the façades of the apartment blocks feature a mix of red brick and monocouche render, with uPVC EcoClad sash windows from Munster Joinery and granite to the windowsills and reveals. The apartments and duplexes overlook a central landscaped courtyard.
Inside the A3-rated homes, there are higher-than-average ceilings, built-in bedroom wardrobes from Bedroom Elegance, and a custom-designed kitchen fitted with Velstone countertops, classic solid wood painted doors with under and above cabinet lighting, and integrated Smeg appliances. There is floor and wall tiling fitted to the kitchen, bathrooms and ensuites.
There is a bus stop directly across the road from Stillorgan Gate, while the nearest Luas stop at Kilmacud, south of the grounds of St Benildus College, is just a 10-minute walk away, with the tram journey to the city centre taking 20 minutes.
Viewings at Stillorgan Gate will take place from 11am to 1pm tomorrow and Sunday.
