Four left from second phase of Parklands
Parklands, Youghal, Co Cork
Parklands, a hillside development overlooking the east Cork seaside town of Youghal, was originally built before the property crash. After the market recovered, the scheme was taken over by a new developer, Redbarn Youghal Construction Ltd, which is now finishing out the estate and relaunched it earlier this year.
The second phase of Parklands was launched at the start of this month. There are four three-bed abodes available in this phase, namely two end-of-terrace homes priced from €152,000 and two mid-terrace houses selling for €147,000 apiece. Sizes at the former style measure 1,020 sq ft, while the latter is a tad smaller at 1,010 sq ft. More homes at the development are due to be released by the end of the summer and there will be 37 homes in all added to the scheme when it's finished.
Prices in the latest phase include a fully fitted kitchen with all integrated appliances and solid-oak worktops and upstands. Despite having their origins in a decade-old scheme, the properties qualify for the Government's Help-To-Buy scheme for new builds, according to the selling agent. Most buyers drawn to the development are locals or people priced out of the Cork City market, a 56km drive away.
