First-time buyers willing to commute in return for a €315,000 house near Dublin are the target market for Dún Ríoga, a new Castlethorn Construction scheme in the Co Meath satellite town of Dunshaughlin.

The new estate will consist of 142 three and four-bed terraced, semi-detached and detached houses when it's finished. Dún Ríoga was originally launched last October, and a second phase of 25 three and four-bed homes followed last weekend. Fourteen of the units were booked. The starting price of €315,000 is for a three-bed semi-detached style with between 1,094 sq ft and 1,141 sq ft of living space. The three-bed detached type, which has at least 1,094 sq ft of accommodation, costs from €325,000, while the 1,410-sq ft, four-bed semis are priced from €355,000.

One of the new three-bed detached styles comes with a garage - a rarity in new-builds these days - while another has an extra reception room. The latter is also a feature in all the four-bed semi designs. All the house types have driveways with enough parking for two cars.

The A3-rated homes are located just off the M3 motorway, with the journey to Dublin city centre taking 45 minutes. Viewings tomorrow and Sunday, from 2pm to 4pm.
