Draw Swords for last 11 residences
Ashfield at Ridgewood, Swords, Co Dublin
The children of couples who moved to a then-new Swords development called Ridgewood in the late 1990s are all grown up and starting families of their own. But some aren't straying too far from home - they're buying houses in a new section of the scheme called Ashfield.
MKN Property Group started building Ridgewood before the turn of the millennium. Construction was called to a temporary halt during the property crash, but in 2016, the new 173-unit Ashfield section was launched at the Forest Road site.
The final phase of Ashfield at Ridgewood was released at the end of February. While all the three-beds from the last tranche have been sold, there are 11 1,410-sq ft, four-bed semi-detached homes still on the market. Two of the houses cost €430,000 and the other nine are priced from €445,000, with price-tags dependent on the orientation of the properties.
Externally, the facades of the traditional-style two-storey homes are finished in a mix of brick and render, all complemented by high-performance double-glazed windows from Grady Joinery windows and a zinc-clad canopy over a painted front door.
There is cobblelock to the front driveway and timber post and panel fencing to the rear garden, which can be accessed via a side-gate.
The contemporary-style kitchen inside, supplied by Nolan Kitchens, comes with soft-close doors and an island unit.
The bathrooms and ensuites are also contemporary in style, with sanitary ware from Shires's Sandringham line, chrome heated towel rails, and tiling to the floors and walls. Each of the A-rated homes has an energy-efficient central heating system.
Ridgewood is within walking distance of local schools. Commuters can access the nearby M1 and M50, or use the 41C, 102 and Swords Express bus routes.
Viewings at Ashfield will take place tomorrow between 2.30pm and 4pm. Enquiries to: Morton & Flanagan (01) 840 4011
