In Trim, which has witnessed few new developments in the post-recovery era, Bennett Homes has begun selling the first of 360 properties at its Effernock scheme. Prices in the first phase, which consists of 15 three, four and five-bed homes, start at €360,000.

Navan, meanwhile, will see the first 21 three and four-bed homes launch at a new scheme called Kilcarn Woods. Kingscroft is developing the scheme in the Johnstown area of the town.

Donacarney Wood, a development near the village of Mornington, is set on the grounds of the eponymous Donacarney House, a 19th-century country house. There, 20 three, four and five-bed homes will be released in October, with prices starting at €295,000.

The village of Donacarney itself will next month see the launch of a small new development called Ard na Mara. The scheme of four-bed family houses is being developed by Cabriz Homes. The same company is also behind a new development of 21 three and four-bed houses in Ashbourne that's due to launch next month.

In Dunshaughlin, the next phase of 20 homes at Castlethorn Construction's Dún Ríoga has just gone on the market, with prices for the three and four-bed homes starting at €290,000.

The village will also see another phase of The Willows, on the Dublin Road, this autumn. Starting prices for the 25 units will range from €327,500 for a three-bed to €470,000 for a five-bed.

In Ashbourne, the next phase of apartments and duplexes are due to go on the market at Churchfields (left), where they will likely appeal to first-time buyers commuting to Dublin city centre, some 20km away. The 20-unit tranche will contain two-bed apartments priced from €265,000, three-bed duplexes costing from €290,000, as well three and four-bed houses priced from €330,000 and €385,000, respectively.

Designed by McCrossan O'Rourke Manning, the blocks of apartments and duplexes have a brick-and-render façade. Nolan Kitchens supplied the white high-gloss units to each kitchen, while the bedroom wardrobes come from Cawley's Furniture.
