Building bridges along water's edge
Finlay Park, Naas, Co Kildare
Finlay Park's location, off a walkway along the Grand Canal in Naas and a mere bridge crossing from the centre of the Co Kildare town, inspired the names of the house types at the scheme - they're all named after a Naas bridge, from the Abbey to the Poolpuck.
The Westar Group-built development was officially launched in September 2016, and two more phases have since followed. There are still four houses available from the third release, namely three four-bed semi-detached homes priced from €385,000 to €400,000 and one four-bed detached version costing from €495,000.
The façades of the timber-framed homes are finished in brick, with granite to the sills of the large cream-framed windows. There are iron railings to the front and sides of the cobble-lock front driveway and garden. Interior finishes include a contemporary-style feature staircase, a sealed wood-burning stove in the living room, and a fitted and tiled kitchen.
The A-rated, low-carbon homes have solar panels to the roof to heat domestic water. A condensing gas boiler with multi-zone controls reduces energy wastage.
Finlay Park is a short drive from both the M7 interchange and the Naas/Sallins train station. Viewings at Finlay Park will take place tomorrow and Sunday, from 4pm to 5pm.
