A-rated with room for manoeuvre

Dunville, Navan, Co Meath

First-time buyers house-hunting at Dunville, a new Navan development near the Johnstown Shopping Centre, need not trade up if their family expands: most of the three-beds in the scheme are built with attic trusses to enable purchasers to extend upwards at a later stage, planning permission permitting.

Dunville, a scheme of two, three and four-bed homes arranged around a series of green spaces, is being developed by Granbrind and was first launched in May. A second phase, consisting of 20 homes, will follow this weekend. Prices start at €235,000 for a two-bed semi-detached bungalow, rising to €257,000 for a three-bed mid-terrace style. A three-bed semi costs from €270,000, while a four-bed detached design is priced from €380,000. An extension into the attic would add 450 sq ft of extra space to the three-beds.

The exteriors are finished in a mix of brick and render, along with triple-glazed uPVC windows with low u-values to save energy. Interior finishes include fitted contemporary-style kitchens. The properties have an A3 BER.

Dunville is within walking distance from St Stephen's national school and Coláiste na Mí secondary school. Navan itself is a four-minute drive from Junction 8 of the M3 motorway

Viewings at Dunville will be held tomorrow and Sunday, between 2:30pm and 4:30pm.
