Bettystown was once a popular holiday destination for Dublin families. These days, when the Dubs arrive at the Meath coastline, they often stay for good because they are priced out of the capital's housing market.

The 65-homes scheme of Seoid na Trá launched last June, aimed at first-time buyers and downsizers, with some three- and four-bed houses still available.

Prices start at €295,000 for a three-bed semi of 1,216 sq ft. The four-bed semis span 1,345 sq ft and cost from €320,000, while the four-bed detached homes measure 1,572 sq ft and are priced from €370,000. The three-bed semis and four-bed detached designs come with attics primed for conversion.

All of the A-rated homes have a private paved driveway out front and a large garden to the rear.

The kitchens have contemporary-style units, integrated appliances, and a separate utility room. The bathrooms and ensuites are fitted with white sanitaryware, shower enclosures, heated towel rails, and tiling.

An A-rated condensing boiler powers the central heating, and PV panels generate solar electricity.

Viewings will take place from 2pm to 4pm tomorrow and Sunday.
