A3 rating for small scheme in seaside town
An Gort, Rush, Co Dublin
Rush was once a hub for summer holidaymakers in caravan sites and a heartland of market gardening, but this is superseded by its expanding role as a staple on the greater Dublin commuter belt.
Last weekend saw the launch of a small scheme in the seaside town. An Gort, located on Old Road, will comprise just eight four-bed semi-detached A3-rated homes when it's finished. Two are currently for sale and a further two will be released later this year. Prices for the 1,593 sq ft properties start at €430,000.
The facade of each property is finished in a combination of brick and render.
Because the hallway has high-vaulted ceilings, the entrance space allows in extra natural light. To one side of the hallway is a lounge fitted with a laminate wood floor, ceiling coving, and a wood-burning stove set on a marble hearth. The kitchen/diner, which is also fitted with laminate floors, built-in appliances, and contemporary-style units and a granite-topped island from McNally Kitchens. Wall-to-wall sliding doors open from the kitchen/diner to the back garden.
Two of the four bedrooms on the first floor come with built-in wardrobes. The attic room on the second floor has been designed to facilitate a conversion at a future stage.
