Wyattville Park in Loughlinstown, Co Dublin, enjoyed a little vicarious notoriety recently, if only in that the estate borders the playing fields of Ballybrack Football Club, which made headlines late last year for faking the death of one of its players to get out of a match.

Wyattville Park is a cul-de-sac estate opening off Wyattville Road, and No68 Wyattville Park is almost at the very corner of the street.

You can duck from there into a sizable public park and make your way through that up to the football club.

The estate is handily situated for families with children as there are plenty of schools nearby. Just bordering the estate is St Laurence College, a co-educational Marianist secondary school, and there's also a national school and a Montessori nearby. And Coolevin Scout Den is a three-minute walk across the park.
