Traditional three-bed semi-detached homes in a new development in the bustling seaside town of Balbriggan will go on sale for the first time this weekend, with prices starting at just €199,950.
Hampton Gardens will be laid out on a series of small cul-de-sacs off the Naul Road, just a short stroll from the beach, Millfield Shopping Centre and the centre of Balbriggan. The north Co Dublin development will have a second phase in early January, with a variety of house types and styles, including four-bed properties. However, the selling agent expects prices will be higher when the second phase is launched.
The accommodation at Hampton Gardens will be typical of the Irish three-bed semi-d: on the ground floor, there will be a guest WC, a storage area under the stairs, a sitting room, and a kitchen/dining room. There will be two bedrooms, plus a master ensuite shower room and a main bathroom on the first floor.
Internal features will include a high-gloss contemporary kitchen, glazed and painted internal doors and timber laminate flooring on the ground floor.
There will be a walkway between the front and rear gardens. The back garden will be levelled, seeded and fenced, while its front counterpart will have a driveway for off-street parking.
All of the communal open spaces will be fully landscaped.
Orchid Homes, the developer, promises that Hampton Gardens will give purchasers lower day-to-day running costs as the properties will have an A3 energy rating, courtesy of solar power, high levels of insulation, and an A-rated energy efficient gas boiler.
Residents in Balbriggan now have a greater range of commuting options than ever before. The M1 motorway and Port Tunnel has made it easier to drive to the centre of Dublin, there's a rail service, Dublin Bus and Bus Eireann services that take between 30 and 50 minutes to reach the city centre, and there are plans afoot to extend the Dart to Balbriggan by 2022.
The show house at Hampton Gardens will be open for viewing tomorrow morning, between 10am and 12pm.
