It's round two for Mount Hamilton
Mount Hamilton, Dundalk, Co Louth
Urban Life, the company led by the son of beef baron Larry Goodman, has added a second phase of homes to its Mount Hamilton scheme on Dundalk's Carrick Road, with two, three and four-bed homes going on sale tomorrow.
The development began selling off the plans in November, with a showhouse following in early March. Now that the initial phase of 44 properties has sold out, a second tranche, consisting of 27 homes, is coming on stream. When Mount Hamilton is complete, it will have 169 homes in all.
Urban Life, led by Laurence Goodman, has been focused on residential development in the Goodman family's home county of Louth, but plans to expand into Dublin and Meath next year.
At Mount Hamilton, the homes are block built and finished in red brick, with double-glazed future-proofed windows. Inside, there is a choice of shaker-style kitchens from Kitchen Elegance. The gas-fired central heating can be controlled remotely by a Climote system via a smartphone.
The latest release contains two, three and four-bed terraced and semi-detached homes, with prices starting at €195,000 for a two-bed. The second phase also sees the introduction of the K house style, namely a four-bed detached house with 1,780 sq ft of accommodation. There are just four of these types within the entire scheme and they are selling for €350,000 apiece.
Mount Hamilton is within walking distance from rail services from Dundalk's Clarke Station and Dundalk town centre. Access to the M1 motorway takes three minutes.
