My Favourite Room: This 1970s D4 apartment got a glam makeover in just seven months – and during lockdown!

Hostess trolleys, Hollywood-style make-up tables and a green velvet bed marketing executive Christina Torsney loves a bit of retro glam and she brings it all together in her D4 apartment

Christina Torsney in her white kitchen. The units are by Bauformat and the worktops are Corian. She used antiqued mirroring, which she got from Rathmines Glass, as a splashback. She says it works really well — it was cheap, it’s easy to keep clean and it adds to the light in the space. She got a Quooker tap, which provides boiling water — it obviates the need for a kettle, keeping down the amount of clutter on the countertops. The leather stools are from Michael Murphy in Sandyford. Picture by Tony Gavin
