Three types of houses go on sale at Drogheda southside estate

J. Murphy Developments, a family-owned company that's been building estates in Drogheda for 42 years, released a few of the new homes at Knightswood on the town's southside last year to test the market. But the developer is finally opening showhouses for the scheme this weekend.
The fitted-out homes are to showcase the release of the first phase of eight properties at Knightswood. When the Matthew's Lane development is complete, there will be 125 units in all.
The facades of the block-built properties have a mix of brick-facing, with a dash of render over the slate canopies that hang over the front doors. To the front is a double cobble-lock driveway that is separated from neighbouring drives by a hedgerow. There is a seeded garden to the rear of each dwelling.
There are three house types for sale in the current tranche, namely a 1200-sq ft three-bed semi-detached priced from €227,000, a 1,050-sq ft three-bed townhouse with a price tag of €209,000, and a 950-sq ft, two-bed townhouse priced from €189,000. The first house type has a ground floor with a living room, a fitted kitchen with a dining space, and a guest WC on the ground floor; there is a master ensuite bedroom, two double bedrooms and a family bathroom upstairs. All of bedrooms come with built-in wardrobes.
The homes have an A building energy rating, thanks, in part, to an air-to-water heat pump. There is a crèche on site, a Tesco nearby, and a selection of primary and secondary schools within a 2km radius.
Knightswood is 1km from the M1 Exit 8 intersection, 2km from the bus station on Donore Road, and 3km from the train station.
Viewings of the three showhouses will be held this Sunday and the following Sunday, between 3pm and 5pm.
