There is just one house remaining from an original nine detached units at this Sutton Village development from MKN Property Group, which also built Ridgewood in Swords and Sutton Castle among others.

In an 'L' shape built over two floors this 1,730 sq ft home is priced at €725,000. Inside, there is a kitchen/dining room, with utility room off it, a guest WC and a separate living room on the ground floor with three bedrooms upstairs, one of which is ensuite, along with the family bathroom. The master bedroom has full-length picture windows.

The kitchen is from Kube in a hi-gloss finish with a breakfast counter and Silestone worktops. This quartz product is becoming very common in new builds and some people prefer it to granite as it has a softer look and is stain resistant. It's not as hard though, and doesn't need cleaning products, so a quick wipe is usually all that's needed.

A full set of appliances is included and the units have soft close drawers which are handle-free. This room will be the key selling point of the house as it is large and airy. So many families prefer this open-plan style which brings a formerly utilitarian room into the heart of the house with seating areas, eating areas and cooking areas. The island unit is finished in hi-gloss but there is a butcher's block-type wooden jut out at the seating area which is a nice contrast. The island also has a sink and chopping area with cupboards, making it useful.

The living room is long, and feeds through to the dining area, through double doors, with a granite fireplace which has a wood burning inset stove. Internal doors are oak with a glass panel to the side.

The exterior is finished in red brick with contrast colour render and a dark grey trim. There are large picture bay windows upstairs and down and a slate roof. Each house is in a slightly different design and style but all have cobble-lock driveways for two cars, landscaped front and rear gardens and plenty of shrubbery.

The energy side of things includes a high-functioning gas-condensing boiler, thermostatically controlled heating, a heat recovery ventilation system and gas fire, all of which gives it an A3 BER rating.

The development is near Burrow Beach in Sutton village, while Sutton DART station is adjacent to the houses. This also puts Sutton Golf club on the doorstep and means Baldoyle is 1.6km.
